Very easy to install once you have all the correct parts. After looking through some reddit threads, a Shelly employee recommended using 14 AWG wire for the relay, but my house uses 12 AWG wire basically everywhere. I used 14 AWG wire and some Wago clips to connect to the lead from the house and had no issues powering the relay. I installed this on an outlet to power a cheap wall mounted tablet with terrible battery management. The outlet now turns on and off to keep the tablet battery between 25% and 85% and has worked flawlessly. Getting the relay to go into Zigbee mode was a little more complicated than the instructions imply (I had to press the button harder than I thought, it felt like I was pressing hard enough but the relay wouldn’t change radios), but once I had it in Zigbee mode, I was able to connect it to Home Assistant through Z2M with no issues. As a bonus, if you put this in Zigbee mode it will automatically act as a Zigbee repeater.I went back and forth between this and the mini for a long time, but the higher amperage rating for the 1PM Gen 4 is what pushed me over the edge. This is a great product, it installs very easily if you have the correct parts, it functions exactly as expected, and there is great support online from Shelly.

Ich habe den Shelly 1PM Gen4 zur Steuerung meiner Poolpumpe (angeschlossen an einer Steckdose) gekauft.Die Inbetriebnahme war absolut einfach. Anschließen, Strom anschalten, mit der Shelly-App nach dem Gerät suchen und die Einrichtung in der App vornehmen.In meinem Fall habe ich es per WLAN eingebunden und anschließend 5 mal den Knopf am Gerät gedrückt, um es in den Zigbee-Pairingmodus zu versetzen.Jetzt ist er im Home Assistant über Z2M (Zigbee2MQTT), als auch über die Shelly-Integration und den Browser erreichbar. Gleichzeitig arbeitet das Gerät als Router und erweitert damit die Reichweite im Zigbee-Netzwerk.Im Betrieb wird der Shelly nicht warm, wie man es ggf. von anderen Herstellern kennt.Die Automationen funktionieren wunderbar und das Verhalten beim Schalten ist sowohl schnell, als auch zugverlässlich.

This was the only 16-amp solution I could find. Works great as a Smart switch for an outlet. I had really wanted to use the Bluetooth gateway as well, but when I switched the unit to Zigbee, the Bluetooth gateway was gone. Since my Wi-Fi does not reach to where I installed it, Zigbee was my only option. It is, however, a nice Zigbee router to add to my network.

Boy! The schematic and hookup diagrams are awful…Very non-conventional. Once they’re decoded, the thing works as advertised.

Ordered to monitor immersion heater power consumption – went for the Gen 4 due to it being zigbee. Easy to wire and fit, slotting into the backbox of the immersion switch without issue. No matter what i tried i could not work out how to get this thing into Zigbee mode – ended up connecting through wifi and the shelly cloud. Works really well however disappointed the ZigBee mode is so difficult – tried the reset button trick, the web interface and the app – no where obvious to change the device into zigbee from wifi!
