Bought it because it was cool. Received a different version of it. All the content creators had a version where the wires came inside the light. I received one that the wires ran through the back. Manual that came with it showed the wires coming and connecting to a module inside. All videos showed the same thing. Wrote to customer service. Had to send pictures of what I received and I should have gotten. After 2 weeks of going back and forth with CS, dead silence. They didn’t bother getting back to me with an update. Thank you Cecelia from Aqara CS for not sending me an update. I returned the 2 that I purchased. I subscribe to their YT and they just recently updated their video stating on was eu and the one I received was a us version. That’s crap because YT creators received the so-called eu version. I own other aqara products and they are great. This occurrence will make me second guess of buying their products and can’t rely on yt reviews

I liked the look of this light from the reviews I had seen. It is quite a bit larger in real life than you think, which I was prepared to accept. What I could not get past was the complete lack of instructions on how to install the light. The included user manual is just a pointer to download the app and talks about how to pair the device.Maybe I had a defective unit, but I could not even get the cover off. One video I watched stated all you need is « …a simple twist to remove the cover… » but after enough minutes of struggling with it and feeling like it might break if I applied more pressure, I am officially giving up and returning it.Sounds like I might have been underwhelmed by the usage anyways as hubs outside of the Aqara app, which was my planned use case, are not able to take full advantage of the lights features.

Tek başına alıp elektriğe bağlarsanız sadece aç kapa yaparsınız. Aqara Hub gerekiyor M2 yada M3 diğer aqara nın diğer hubları ile çalışıyor mu bilmiyorum. Hub bağladıltan sonra tüm fonksiyonlarına erişebilirsiniz ve aqara hub üzerinden Apple Homekit ile eşleştirebilirsiniz böyleyece homekit üzerinden diğer cihazlarınız ile otomasyon yapabilir ve siri ile sesli kullanabilirsiniz. Bağladıktan sonra güncelleme geliyor hemen. Işık parlaklığı inanılmaz yüksek resmen gözünüzü alıyor ve çok iyi aydınlatıyor. Işık şiddetini istediğiniz gibi %1-%100 arası ayarlamak size kalmış. Çemberi RGB ve oldukça güzel sahneler barındırıyor yada siz istediğiniz gibi ayarlayabilirsiniz. Uygulama yada homekit üzerinden açma-kapama saati belirleyebilir yada diğer cihazlarınız ile otomasyon yapıp kullanabilirsiniz. Ben oldukça memnun kaldım ve kasım indirimlerinden neredeyse yarı fiyatına satın aldım. Ana ışık kısmını sıcak renkten soğuk renge istediğiniz gibi ayarlayabilirsiniz.

I got this light and an Aqara hub because the light is brighter than the comparable Hue ceiling fixture. What a mistake. Both have been a nightmare. The light turns on without input sometimes and completely stops working other times.

Looks great when installed and the quality of light is fantastic. The accent ring light is a nice touch. But it’s not without flaws.First of all, the plastic is quite brittle. I managed to snap one of the mounting tabs on the light while turning it into the ceiling mount, with NO force behind it. Super brittle. But very carefully I got it installed using the other two clips, and it looks great now that it’s there. The diffusion is great, you really can’t make out any LED hot spots.Second – if you use a non-Aqara hub, it’ll randomly turn on. I believe we need to adjust the power restore behavior, but there is no option for that in Home Assistant, you MUST use their own hub. I solved it by using an Aqara hub to set power on behavior, and then using a smart light switch to do the actual toggling. And you can’t set the feature then pair it to your other hub, as that resets the power on behavior. It’s a workaround that works, but pretty frustrating to need their hub just for that. This is using the latest firmware and everything as of January 2025.
